The U. S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York (“NDNY”) has recently announced an almost $5,000,000.00 civil settlement with HD Supply Waterworks, the largest supplier of water, sewer, fire protection and storm drain products in the United States, under the False Claims Act to resolve allegations that it participated in a scheme designed to take advantage of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program to sell materials to contractors on federally funded highway projects.
