In 2017 the construction industry added 210,000 jobs, a 35% increase over previous years. 30,000 of those jobs were added in December 2017 alone, with November 2017 having seen a record $1.257 trillion spent in the construction industry. This increase in job creation and spending, which can largely be attributed to current economic conditions, a business-friendly regulatory environment, and federal tax cuts, is just the beginning of a boom in the construction industry, the likes of which have not been seen since the recession.  Read the article.
