On February 21, 2017, Brian P. Murphy is teaching a course entitled Startup Business Principles to local college students that are interested in entrepreneurship. The course is being offered by the Hudson Valley Community College Workforce Development Institute in collaboration with the Troy Innovation Garage and Spark Exchange Creative Business Incubator. Brian’s role in the course is focused on teaching class sessions analyzing and discussing business formation, the basics of legal contracts, joint ventures, capital raises, intellectual property and other legal issues that impact a typical start-up. Brian’s role in the course is a continuation of his involvement in supporting and being a part of The Troy Innovation Garage, an entrepreneurial ecosystem and co-working space focused on creative companies located in the increasingly revitalized downtown of Troy, New York.
