New Power Plant Siting Law - Article X Renewal
New York State Legislators and Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration are making an end-of-session effort to renew Article X, the state’s power plant siting law. If passed, the new law, which may be voted on as early as today, will provide siting oversight for power plants producing over 25 megawatts of energy. The proposed law is technology neutral, and does not exclude review of proposed plants based on fuel source.
Couch White’s experience and expertise in power plant siting in New York, as well as electric transmission and natural gas pipeline siting, is second to none. For additional information, please contact Leonard H. Singer of the Firm’s Energy and Environmental practice groups at 518-320-3406 or lsinger@couchwhite.com.
