Ms. LaFond is a member of the Firm’s Labor and Employment, Commercial, Litigation, and Construction practice groups. She represents corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and construction companies in a wide variety of complex commercial and labor and employment matters.
Melanie is an experienced trial lawyer, and has successfully tried cases and arbitrations in New York State and Florida. In addition, she has prevailed early on in several cases through dismissal and the entry of summary judgment. She has successfully litigated commercial disputes, complex construction matters, contract actions, lien law actions, corporate law actions, real property disputes, civil rights actions on behalf of municipalities, and numerous employment related matters on behalf of employers. Melanie has extensive experience counseling and representing employers in a broad range of employment matters.
