Mr. Barriere is a member of the Firm’s Commercial, Construction and Litigation practice groups. Jim represents commercial lenders, corporations, developers, design professionals, construction associations and companies, partnerships, insurance companies, power companies and surety companies in a variety of commercial matters. He has extensive experience in the resolution of complex commercial disputes, construction matters, contracts, foreclosure actions, labor law matters, lien law matters, property rights matters, real property tax law proceedings, surety law matters, insurance, and third-party defense actions. Jim is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer. He has successfully appeared in numerous arbitration proceedings, jury and non-jury trials and appellate courts in multiple state and federal jurisdictions.

Jim was named a 2011 Super Lawyer in the New York Super Lawyers Upstate and Hudson Valley Editions for Construction Litigation, Business Litigation and Civil Litigation Defense.
