Mr. Gordon is a member of the Firm’s Banking, Construction, Commercial, Litigation, Real Estate and Trusts, Estates and Business Succession Planning practice groups. In the construction arena, Chip represents contractors, subcontractors, owners and developers, and design professionals in a wide array of matters, such as contract negotiation and contract disputes, and administrative agency issues. He also handles commercial and business concerns, including succession planning for closely-held companies, business formations, sales and purchases, and loan transactions.

Chip has a great depth of experience in both the transactional and litigation sides of the law. He has tried dozens of both jury and non-jury cases throughout the region, and has extensive experience in both mediations and arbitrations. His construction experience has included extensive involvement with prevailing wage issues before the New York State Department of Labor, and counseling and defending clients before the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Chip serves as general outside counsel to a number of construction companies and other businesses, advising their owners and officers in a broad spectrum of legal needs.

Chip was selected to the American Board of Trial Advocates and served with the American Inns of Court. He also held the office of Town Justice in the Town of Niskayuna for 16 years. Chip has lectured extensively to practicing attorneys and construction industry associations. Over the years he has given service to a number of not-for-profit concerns, and currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Northeast Health.
