Couch White Secures Landmark Decision for Charter Schools
On April 2 2009, Couch White obtained a favorable decision, with wide-ranging impacts, at the New York State Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department in the matter of New York Charter Schools Association, et al. v. New York Department of Labor, et al.
General Electrical Systems, Inc. v. Chester Union Free School District
A breach of construction contract case. Couch White litigated and settled an electrical contractor's claim against a school district on a multi-prime construction contract for a substantial recovery. The claim arose out of various delays and interferences on the project.
M&T Bank v. Prestwick Chase, Inc.
A bankruptcy lien foreclosure and breach of contract case. Couch White represented a commercial lender in a bankruptcy action where it recovered the entire principal balance, interest and attorneys fees for a total recovery in excess of $12.5 million.
